Encounter unique sculptures that provide some food for thought.
Organized by the Cincinnati Chapters of the American Institute of Architects and the Society for Design Administration, Canstruction is a competition for charity that unites design, art and public service. Local teams have constructed colossal sculptures made entirely from canned and packaged food. After the exhibition is complete, the “building materials” will be donated to the Freestore Foodbank.
Sculptures are on display at the Weston Art Gallery (the exhibition home base), Main Library, Contemporary Arts Center, Center at 600 Vine, Hyatt Regency Cincinnati and the Scripps Center. The public is encouraged to bring canned food and packaged items to donate.
