Hightail Mt. Adams, a neighborhood watering hole located on Pavilion Street in Mount Adams, has announced that it will permanently close its doors on Saturday, Feb. 8.

Opened by 4EG in the fall of 2017, the drinking destination is known for its happy hour specials, bourbon selection and fun themed events like Geeks Who Drink trivia nights.

Hightail announced its forthcoming closure via a Facebook post on Feb. 2. “After two years of calling Mt. Adams our home, we will be closing our doors after business this Saturday,” the post reads.

“But we can’t leave you without a proper goodbye. Join us anytime on or before Saturday, February 8th, for one last half-price happy hour, Geeks Who Drink pub quiz, or just for one more pint with your pup. We thank you for your support during the last two years and look forward to serving you one last time.”

Loyal patrons of the bar took to the Facebook post to express their feelings about the closing.

4EG also closed their nearly-a-decade-old restaurant Keystone Bar & Grill in Hyde Park at the end of 2019. According to a post on Keystone’s Facebook page, the group is making way for new business ventures.

“We will soon open The Beeline, our new bar concept, in Columbus at Easton Town Center. Our Chicago division is embarking on not one but two great new neighborhood bar concepts. We also have a few other irons in the fire we aren’t ready to reveal just yet,” the Keystone post read.
