To go or not to go? Is that really a question? Hey, Hamlet is Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy, thought by some to be the greatest play of all time. So it’s one you shouldn’t miss.
Hamlet is a monster part — 1,500 lines to learn, one of the largest roles ever created — and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s Brent Vimtrup, now in his fourth season with the classic theater group, has the chops to make the depressed, indecisive Prince of Denmark a performance to remember.
He’s joined by veterans Sherman Fracher as his fickle mother, quickly remarried to his murderous uncle, played by Bruce Cromer. The totally watchable cast includes Sara Clark as sweet, confused Ophelia, Hamlet’s erstwhile love.
