Violinist and dancer Lindsey Stirling — a unique and eclectic Electronic music sensation — is embarking on a 36-city North American tour this summer that includes a stop in Cincinnati.
The tour behind Stirling’s latest album, Artemis, will bring her to Riverbend’s PNC Pavilion on Friday, Aug. 7 with special guests Kiesza and Mako. Tickets ($24-$199.50) go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. via ticketmaster.com.
Artemis is the fourth album from Stirling, who drew widespread recognition beginning with her 2010 appearance on America’s Got Talent. From there she grew her blossoming fanbase with her YouTube channel, where she has attracted billions of views, and she has played to packed houses all over the world on tour. Stirling’s unique cross-hybrid sound has enabled her albums to do well on sales charts of varying genres — from Classical to Dance/Electronic.
Though much of her music is instrumental, Stirling regularly collaborates with vocalists, including big names like Lzzy Hale, Owl City’s Adam Young and the group Pentatonix. Artemis includes tracks featuring singer Amy Lee (of Evanescence) and Elle King.
“After taking the Artemis tour all over the world, I can’t wait to FINALLY bring it home to the states,” Stirling says in a tour press release. “I never know how to describe my shows, but they are theatrical, full of choreography, costumes, and a light show that would make a DJ feel quite at home. This Artemis tour is my biggest and boldest show yet and it’s a joy to perform. I hope you love it.”
