A local late-summer landmark will look a little different this year.
Over recent years, Natorp’s Nursery, located in the Greater Cincinnati suburb of Mason, has planted fields of sunflowers in the lot across from Cottell Park in the late summer/early fall. The land was a generous lease from a local farmer who has decided this year to use his land for farming purposes.
The vibrant sunflower fields have been a major seasonal attraction for folks from across the region, offering stellar photo ops.
Natorp’s announced the news via a Facebook post on June 28.
Last year, several farms from across the region planted sunflower fields for guests to explore — some offered visits for free and some were ticketed. CityBeat plans to create an updated round-up later this summer.
