Miracle, a national nostalgic holiday bar pop-up experience, is returning to transform Pleasant Ridge’s Overlook Lodge into a winter wonderland full of themed cocktails and ugly sweaters.

Now in its fifth year at the Overlook — overseen by local Gorilla Cinema Presents, a creative company that traffics in immersive concept bars and enchanting nightlife spots — Miracle promises a 75-minute cocktail experience.

Following a similar format to last year’s event, this year’s Miracle will require tickets. The event will transform the typically The Shining-themed Overlook Lodge into a kitschy Christmas stop starting Friday, Nov. 19. Tickets are now on sale at theoverlooklodge.ticketleap.com, with reservations for parties of 2, 4, 6 and 8 available through Dec. 24. Tickets are $35 per person and include a welcome shot and two cocktails from the holiday-themed menu.

A drink menu isn’t available online yet, but last year’s themed beverages included the Bad Santa (mulled red wine, tawny port, orange liquor and Christmas spices, served hot); the Christmas Carol Barrel (tequila, coffee liquor, dry Curacao and spiced chocolate); and the Jolly Koala (gin, vermouth, pine-cardamom-sage cordial).

UPDATE: A drink menu is now live at thatshiningbar.com/menu.

As a bonus, Gorilla Cinema Presents is bringing the holiday cheer to another one of their bars: Tiki Tiki Bang Bang in Walnut Hills. For a very “Mele Kalikimaka” spin on the traditional man-in-red, Sippin’ Santa will offer a “tropical holiday pop-up getaway.”

No tickets or RSVPs are required for the Sippin’ Santa event, which is also a national concept from the group behind Miracle. Sippin’ Santa debuted in New York in 2015 — with the premise of imagining “Santa on a surfboard instead of a sleigh and palm trees instead of pine” — and is now a franchise event at bars across the country, including Tiki Tiki Bang Bang this year.
