Time for a downtown adventure with the whole family.

“Artful Adventure,” the annual family-friendly fundraiser held by the Contemporary Arts Center, invites families, artists and creatives of all ages to come explore.

The day combines Family Fest experiences with special artist activations, collaborative art projects, food, music and interactive gallery experiences throughout the museum.

“Artful Adventure reflects everything CAC strives to be – welcoming, creative, multigenerational, and deeply connected to our community,” said Carolyn Hefner, CAC’s Chief of External Affairs, in a statement. “This event creates meaningful opportunities for families to experience contemporary art together while directly supporting the exhibitions and educational programs that make CAC such an important civic and cultural resource.”

Highlights include:

  • Clay Ghost Making with current CAC-exhibiting artist Michael Stillion
  • Collaborative printing with local artists Jon Flannery and Joe Walsh of Take a Moment Studios
  • Artist interactions with CAC Artist-in-Residence Micah Mickles
  • Storytime with Zaza Scents
  • Gallery ghost hunts through the exhibition “Michael Stillion: And then it was flowers”
  • Post-It Poetry inspired by the exhibition “Gee Horton: Chapter 4, In Another Lifetime”
  • A giant collaborative Blue Tape Mural
  • Artful City community-building installations
  • A family dance party DJ’d by Nat Jones
  • Cincy fan-favorite mascots
  • Little Fox face painting
  • Interactive playscape experiences for younger guests

The event is set for June 13. Tickets are $15 for children and $30 for adults. A $40 VIP ticket adds an open bar, including brunch-themed cocktails.
