Photos: Reds beat Padres 4-3 Tuesday Night

The Reds beat the San Diego Padres Tuesday night 4-3 in a come-from-behind win.

Nick Lododo had a strong start and pitched 6 innings, allowing only 2 runs, leaving the game with a 2-2 tie.  He was followed by Luis Mey, Brock Burke (who got the win) and Emilio Pagan, who got the save. Catcher Jose Trevino had a critical RBI single that scored Elly De La Cruz and broke the tie in the 8th inning.

Juan Brito, who was just called up Tuesday from Triple-A Louisville, hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Sal Stewart to put the Reds up by two runs. Fernando Tatis hit a solo home run in the 9th inning (his second of the night) to bring the Padres to within one run; however, Pagan came back and struck out Samad Taylor for the win. Elly De La Cruz returned to the lineup as a designated hitter; he had exited Sunday’s game with tightness in his quadriceps.
