One of Covington’s favorite restaurants has new happy hour specials.
Carmelo’s, the Italian restaurant located at 434 Madison Avenue, has introduced a happy hour menu that runs from 4 to 6 p.m. every weekday and is “just enough to hold you over until dinner.”
The menu offers the restaurant’s signature chicken meatballs or fried artichoke hearts with pecorino fondue for just $10, while a giant mozzarella stick or a serving of pepperoncini-stuffed fried olives with whipped gorgonzola will run you $8.
On the drinks side, guests can get a HighGrain pilsner, a New Jersey Iced Tea (which is El Jimador, Bacardi, Wheatley, Eda Rhyne Appalachian Fernet, Montenegro, lemon and orange), or a glass of their house red or house white for just $7 each.
