Where: The swim launches from the Serpentine Wall and concludes at the Public Landing (435 E Mehring Way)
What: Officially named after Bill Keating Jr. — one of the first people to sign up for the inaugural event in 2007, who later lost a battle with brain cancer — the event is a fundraiser for local nonprofit Adventure Crew, which “connects city teens with nature.” Swimmers will push off from downtown’s Serpentine Wall and make their way across the river to Kentucky and back — about half a mile.

What: This year, the annual Rathkamp Matchcover Society convention will be held in Erlanger. Matchcover collectors from all over the world will descend upon Erlanger for this convention that includes four days of auctions and a room dedicated to the sale and trading of surplus and duplicate matchcovers.
