You can step into Regency era Great Britain and celebrate the legacy of one of the most famous authors of the time at the annual Jane Austen Festival — now in Sharonville — this June.
After enchanting guests in Louisville for years, the festival will now be hosted at Sharon Woods’ Heritage Village Museum June 28-29. Guests from over 35 states and several countries are expected to attend the weekend of talks, demonstrations, workshops and merriment in honor of Austen’s 250th birthday this year.
Attendees can expect music by the Drewry’s and historical dance performances from the Forget-Me-Nots and Flying Cloud dance troupes. There will also be dramatic duels playing out, as well as a costume promenade, horseback riding demonstrations by the American Sidesaddle Association and garden tours and a story walk on the grounds of the museum.

The festival will also feature dozens of vendors selling wares at the Meryton Shoppes and food available for purchase at Pemberley Provisions & Libations.
Tickets for the festival are $20 a day for Heritage Village Museum (HVM) or Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA) members and $25 a day for non-members. This includes parking. You can also buy the “Emma” pass for two-day admission, which is $40 for HVM/JASNA members and $50 for non-members, if purchased before June 1.
The Jane Austen Festival will also host a Welcome Reception on Friday, June 27 and will feature charcuterie cups, drinks, desserts, entertainment, live music, early access to some of the vendors and more. Tickets are $20 per person.
You can buy festival and workshop tickets online here; admission can also be purchased at the gate. Proceeds from the festival will go toward the Heritage Village Museum to help it maintain its 13 historic buildings and provide educational programs throughout the year.
The Jane Austen Festival runs from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 28 and 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 29.
