We all need a little live music fix after this past year. Fortunately, ArtsWave, a nonprofit focused on supporting and sustaining the arts across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, has announced plans for their free “Arts @ Parks” outdoor concert series.

According to an ArtsWave, Arts @ Parks is an eight-month series that will include a wide range of musical performances, arts organizations and independent artist. Events will take place on the last Saturday of every month.

The first concert kicked off Saturday, March 27 at Covington’s Devou Park and featured performances from Tracy Walker & Band, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra’s Devou Doo Daddies and the Redemption Brothers.

The next concert takes place 1-5 p.m. April 24 at Boone Woods Park in Boone County, Kentucky.

The Arts @ Parks event is presented by Macy’s and supported by a partnership with Great Parks of Hamilton County, the City of Covington and Boone County Parks. According to the event page, new ArtsWave donors or those who increase their last gift by at least 10% will receive a free Great Parks of Hamilton County motor vehicle permit that allows for free parking at all Great Parks of Hamilton County activities during this year.

What’s more, the donation page also says that those who give $75 or more or increase their previous gift by 10% will gain access to “special behind-the-scenes experiences” with the Cincinnati Reds and FC Cincinnati. Donations can be made on the ArtsWave website
