April is National Poetry Month and Findlay Market is marking the occasion with an outdoor event featuring spoken word poets competing for cash prizes.
Shop a local market featuring works by potters, painters, fiber artists and more, which opens at 10 a.m.
A poetry open mic, hosted by Symana She Speaks Dillingham, opens at 11 a.m., followed by a spoken word competition from noon-3 p.m.
In between poets, browse the market and art bazaar, grab a beer from the Findlay Market Biergarten and take part in interactive art and activities from Elementz, WordPlay Cincy and Art for All People or visit Elese Daniel, who will be writing poems on the spot.
