A big pet adoption drive is taking over Miamitown this Saturday.

SPCA Cincinnati and other nonprofit adoption agencies are taking part in the second-annual Miamitown Pet Palooza. The adoption drive will take place on Ferry Street, which will be blocked off to vehicle traffic between SR-128 and Hill Street.

In addition to adoption opportunities, Pet Palooza will also host educational speakers and presenters, vendors selling pet-related items and food trucks. There will be a pet fashion show, as well as cool-off stations for dogs. Local pet businesses will also have an open-door invitation for owners and dogs to stop by for a visit.

While Ferry Street will be the main site of Pet Palooza, the three-block area of Miamitown proper will also take part, with area businesses hosting extended hours and corresponding events.

Pet Palooza runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to attend. Parking is available at the Miamitown Church of Christ at the corner of 128 and Mill Street.
