A new fall tradition with pups and pumpkins is coming to downtown Cincinnati this October, and we paws-itively can’t wait.

The Lytle Park Hotel is partnering with Cincinnati nonprofit Brewhaus Dog Bones on the first-ever Lytle Pawk Pumpkin Walk, happening Sunday, Oct. 19 from 1-5 p.m. Organizers promise an afternoon of giving back to the community, complete with a pumpkin-carving competition and dog-friendly fun.

Local animal nonprofits will take part in the competition, showcasing their creatively carved pumpkins. They’ll then be judged by a panel of local celebrities and featured in a silent auction to raise funds for the organizations. The top three pumpkins will win prize money for their nonprofits — $1,000 for first place, $500 for second and $250 for third. Local rescue organizations interested in participating can email lisa@brewhausdogbones.com to enter.

Local rescue organizations interested in submitting a carved pumpkin for a chance to win cash prizes should email lisa@brewhausdogbones.com to enter.

Attendees can also vote for the People’s Choice Award, which offers a special prize package from The Lytle Park Hotel.

The event will also feature local rescues with adoptable dogs, plus vendors with pet-friendly goods and seasonal food and drinks (and even a dog-friendly menu), served on the hotel’s outdoor terrace. Bringing your dog in costume is also encouraged.
