Arlo McKinley at Bogart’s Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Fresh off the release of his third studio album, This Mess We’re In, Cincinnati-born musician Arlo McKinley will be ringing in the New Year with a performance at Bogart’s. Catch the Holiday Pops at Music Hall 1241 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine Get into the holiday spirit with a little help from the Cincinnati Pops and conductor John Morris Russell. The Pops perform a variety of holiday favorites with help from vocalist Michael Preacely and singers from the Classical Roots Community Mass Choir and May Festival Chorus, as well as dancers from the Studio for Dance. The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band at the Southgate House Revival 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Boogie your way into the new year at The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn show at the Southgate House Revival. Concertgoers can expect to hear new music from the band, as well as a few surprises. “I like to put stuff in the set that you can only see if you come to the show, things that aren’t on any record. I think that’s sort of a bonus for the people that are coming out and paying that full ticket price to see the show,” Reverend Peyton told CityBeat in an interview published earlier this month.
