This week, 2019 will see its first lunar eclipse: the sun, Earth and moon will align — and Cincinnati will have a stunning view.
Head over to the Cincinnati Observatory to watch the whole shebang unfold; the process will start at 10:33 p.m. when the shadow of the Earth first crosses the moon. By 11:41 p.m., the moon will be completely in Earth’s shadow. One downer: If it’s cloudy, the event will be canceled (but not the eclipse itself).
10 p.m.-midnight Sunday (Jan. 20). $5. Cincinnati Observatory, 3489 Observatory Place, Mount Lookout, cincinnatiobservatory.org.
