Rising Star Casino and resort, located in Rising Sun, Indiana, will host a Labor Day weekend celebration with free live shows from a variety of entertainers…and a possible time machine that will take guests straight to the bliss of the 1990s.
The weekend kicks off with a performance from comedian Rob Schneider on Saturday, Aug. 31. Schneider is well known for his roles in popular films like Grown Ups, Big Daddy, The Hot Chick, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and more, including his time as a cast member on Saturday Night Live, his Netflix show Real Rob, his stand-up career and weekly podcast, See What Happens. His show will begin at 8 p.m. in the Grand Theater.
Popular American Rock band Sugar Ray will perform on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Grand Theater. The band is well known for their throwback hits like “Every Morning,” and “Fly.” And also lead singer Mark McGrath in general, who has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and in Sharknado 2.
The shows are first-come, first-served and lines will begin three hours before showtime, with doors opening one hour prior to the show. Reservations are not necessary and all guests must be 21 and up.
