If you’re a house hunter with an eye for maximalist style but not sure your future home will fit all your artwork, plants and over-the-top furniture, this St. Bernard home is here to prove anything is possible.
514 E. Mitchell Ave. has got a lot going on — in the best way possible. Its current style is opulent with its many brocades, lush draperies and decor that are very Gilded-Age-meets-Tuscan-villa. Plus, it’s got a laundry room that resembles a sitting room straight out of a Gothic romance novel.
Even if you’re not house-hunting, 514 E. Mitchell Ave. is the perfect listing for a game of I-spy. Look closely beyond the tassels and candle pedestals for the well-maintained wooden accents original to the structure. Challenge your brain to find the rogue mariachi figurine hiding in plain sight. Scan the four bedrooms and two full baths to find the decorative bottles of Arbor Mist (respect) that expertly blend in with the home’s countless vases. Even if this home isn’t your style, you have to applaud the dedication it takes to pull off this many tassels.
The home is listed for $325,000. For more information, contact Mike Wall with eXp Realty. Find the original listing here.
