The Art Academy of Cincinnati has announced its plans for two summer exhibitions.
The first exhibition is the Master of Arts in Art Education (MAAE) exhibition, which features current work by students in AAC’s graduate program, a low-residency degree designed for K-12 art and design educators practicing art. It began July 24 at the AAC, and the gallery reception will take place July 31 from 5 – 8 p.m.
The program takes place over three summers to accommodate teachers’ schedules, and combines rigorous studio practice, art education seminar coursework and art history, providing program students the opportunity to deepen their creative practice while exploring contemporary approaches to teaching, learning and artistic inquiry.
The second exhibition, “Where We Are,” is a pop-up exhibition featuring artists participating in the inaugural 2026 AAC Artist-in-Residence Summer Residency Program. The residency is a competitive four-week studio program designed to foster artistic growth, professional development and creative exchange. This exhibition will begin on July 31.
Both exhibitions will be on display at the AAC’s campus in Over-the-Rhine on 1212 Jackson Street, and both exhibitions will conclude on August 2.
