Celebrate the resurrection of Christ — or just indulge in a lavish brunch — on Sunday, April 21. These local restaurants are offering special family-friendly meals in honor of the Easter Holiday, but you don't need to be religious to opt into these expansive options, replete with carving stations, special desserts and plenty of mimosas.

Note: RSVP is generally required for any brunch you want to attend.

The Capital Grille — This favorite chain is hosting a special Easter prix fixe brunch with takes on classic brunch items like a lobster frittata. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 21. $49 adults; $15 children. 3821 Edwards Road, Hyde Park, thecapitalgrille.com.

Coppin's Restaurant & Bar at Hotel Covington — Get access to five well-stocked stations: Start small at their grits station featuring cheese grits, fried green tomatoes and shrimp gravy or begin belt-buster style at the self-explanatory steak and eggs station. A cold cured station presents varieties of smoked salmon and lox, “cajun caviar,” and blinis with crème fraîche; and a double-sided hot station offers up options like fried chicken, breakfast potatoes, and mini green onion and black pepper cheddar biscuits. Forno Osteria+Bar — This Easter, both the Hyde Park and Montgomery locations of Forno Osteria+Bar are (for the most part) forgoing their typical fare of elevated yet unsophisticated italian food and pizza to offer a more traditional buffet for the year’s most sanctified sabbath. Easter brunch includes biscuits and Italian sausage gravy, a Tuscan pork loin carving station, frittatas, and, of course, bacon. Jag's Steak & Seafood — Head to Jag's for a special brunch with both adult and children prix fixe menus featuring seasonal favorites and shareables. Metropole — Metropole will be offering a blessed brunch on Easter Sunday catering to all ages. Get any combination of a single appetizer and entree plus coffee, tea, or soda. Entrées include a loaded breakfast burrito, pancakes topped with maple mascarpone and candied pecans, and a brunch burger with an over-easy egg. Picky-eating kids need not fear, there’s a cheaper kids menu featuring grilled cheese, scrambled eggs with potatoes, and a simple pasta dish. It wouldn’t be brunch without mimosas, and $50 gets you Metropole’s signature “mimosa experience,” which goes beyond a simple bottle of prosecco (though that’s still important). Orchids at Palm Court — If you want to observe Christ’s resurrection in an opulently gilded Art Deco-style hall, look no further than Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza’s Easter brunch. The Phoenix — Celebrate Easter Sunday at The Phoenix with live music, a gourmet buffet and family-friendly events like cottontail’s coloring contest and photo ops with the Easter bunny.
