Local pizza joint Catch-a-Fire Pizza has opened its newest location, just in time for Cincinnati Pizza Week. The restaurant celebrated its grand opening this past Saturday.

In addition to locations in Blue Ash, Lebanon and Westwood, pizza lovers can now find Catch-a-Fire in Collge Hill in the former Sleepy Bee location at 5920 Hamilton Ave. in the neighborhood’s business district. Co-owners Jeff and Melissa Ledford said the College Hill location offers diners a comfortable, casual and family-friendly setting that brings people together to enjoy artisan food and craft beverages.

The menu at College Hill will feature Catch-a-Fire’s fan-favorite wood-fired pizzas along with the newer Sicilian-style pies, shareable appetizers, entrée salads, artisan sandwiches and signature desserts. All dough, sauces, dressings and more are crafted daily, and the pizzeria also offers a variety of vegetarian and vegan options.

The restaurant is located just across the street from Patrick Wolterman Memorial Park and offers amenities like a spacious patio and a large parking lot. Guests can also dine while watching the pizza prep and cooking happening in the exhibition kitchen, and the restaurant plans on hosting monthly wine tastings and live music.

“We are delighted to welcome such an accomplished business, taking root in the heart of College Hill. The addition of Catch-a-Fire Pizza to our already thriving business district further enriches our dynamic commercial landscape,” Emmanuel Karikari, CEO of College Hill CURC, said in a press release this summer. “Catch-a-Fire Pizza will complement our business district’s diverse array of businesses, enhancing our reputation as a premier destination for dining and entertainment.”

The Ledfords said they’re excited to join the College Hill community and have a lot of respect for what’s happening in the neighborhood.

“We chose College Hill for our next location because we are very impressed with the sense of community there, as well as the dynamic dining scene,” Melissa Ledford said in the release.

Catch-a-Fire offers full service for lunch and dinner daily. The Ledfords also say they will be working closely with the College Hill community, hiring team members from the area and planning to host events with their “Pizza for Purpose” fundraising model, which will go toward local nonprofits.
