A celebration of gin is coming to Cincinnati this September.
National gin education platform Ginworld is commemorating its 10th anniversary with a multi-day series of events throughout Greater Cincinnati Sept. 6-8. The celebration kicks off with Gin Jubilee Gin Festival at Factory 52’s The Gatherall food hall in Norwood on Saturday, Sept. 6.
“Who is ready for a ridiculous amount of gin all in one place? We’ve gathered some of the most unique spirits for you to taste, sip and treat yourself at our very first Gin Jubilee, Cincinnati’s largest Gin festival,” The Gatherall shared on Facebook.
Gin Jubilee will run from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 and include spirit tastings from all brand tables, the chance to meet brand ambassadors and learn more about their products and tickets that you can redeem for gin, vermouth and amaro cocktail samples. You can buy tickets here.
On Sunday, Sept. 7, Fifty Fifty Gin Club in Over-the-Rhine will host a Martini Sensory Seminar from 5-10 p.m. Taught by Ginworld’s experts and national educators, these hands-on seminars will show participants how varying factors like Martini ratios, temperatures, dilution and the different gin botanicals can create a spectrum of flavors. Seminar times include 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. and tickets are $30. You can get yours here.
Gin Week concludes on Monday, Sept. 8 with the Masterclass Blind Tasting Seminar from 12:30-3 p.m., with an exact location to be announced. This seminar will be a guided exploration of 30 gins and will be taught by Ginworld founder and internationally recognized spirits educator Natasha Bahrami. Participants will blind taste a variety of styles, production methods and botanical builds, focusing on the gins’ flavors, textures, structures and distillation techniques instead of branding.
After, you can join Ginworld at Uncle Leo’s in Over-the-Rhine for an Industry Family Meal & Industry Cocktail Party. Bar Industry Only Seminar tickets are free, but you are asked to still RSVP. The Enthusiast Seminar ticket is about $29.
