Downtown’s Prime Cincinnati was named “Best Steakhouse of The Year” at Certified Angus Beef’s annual conference this week.

The annual event was held Sept. 23-25 in Asheville, North Carolina and brought together meat processors, distributors, chefs, retailers and cattle rangers to discuss marketing, merchandising and other matters in the quality meat market.

Prime Cincinnati is located downtown and is well known for their top-notch steak and seafood offerings. Executive chef Shawn Heine uses Certified Angus Beef brand steaks in his restaurant, which offers a selection of dry-aged steaks. Their menu also includes burgers which are made from Certified Angus Beef, ground in house and are a local favorite, especially during Cincinnati Burger Week.

“The Prime Cincinnati experience is all about creating memories,” Prime’s managing partner Nelson Castillo says in a press release. “It’s all about how can we impact and be part of everybody’s day.”

“We believe, with our in-house dry-age program, that we are really bringing everything that we can to the table,” Heine says in the press release. “Our restaurant is all about hospitality, all about bringing the guests in and really catering to every need that they have.”

Based in Wooster, Ohio, the Certified Angus Beef brand has been supplying quality beef to stores and restaurants across the U.S. for over 40 years.
