We love a holiday that encourages having ice cream for the most important meal of the day, so sign us up for this National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day celebration in Blue Ash.
In honor of the holiday, Gold Spoon Creamery, a small-batch, hand-scooped ice cream shop located in Summit Park, is hosting its third annual event for breakfast and ice cream lovers alike on Saturday, Feb. 1, starting at 9 a.m.
This year, the celebration will include four signature ice cream flavors, along with fresh donuts and hot donut sandwiches from Starlight Doughnuts and espresso drinks from Proud Hound Coffee. You can even pair Gold Spoon’s ice cream with espresso to make an affogato.
“We love any reason to celebrate ice cream, and partnering with such a great local business makes it even sweeter. Our breakfast flavors are one-of-a-kind, but when paired with Starlight’s doughnuts, they’re next level,” Emily Henderson, co-owner of Gold Spoon Creamery, said in a press release. “We’re thrilled to host this fun, delicious holiday for the third year in a row!”
Gold Spoon’s featured breakfast ice cream flavors include Maple Bacon Doughnut, Buttery Croissant, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Fruity Pebbles, which will be served alongside another 16 flavors of handmade ice cream, including dairy-free and gluten-free options. The menu also features sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, floats, shakes and full-service coffee.
