One of Ohio’s oldest businesses is celebrating a major milestone.
While The Golden Lamb — the centuries-old hotel and restaurant located just north of Cincinnati in Lebanon, Ohio — has been open for 223 years, it has been owned and operated by the Portman family for the last century.
You likely know of the Golden Lamb for its famous guests, which includes everyone from Charles Dickens to Ke$ha. But as the Portman family plans their centennial celebration, they’re actively searching for former employees to share their stories in an effort to help commemorate the milestone.

“While The Golden Lamb’s history is often told through its notable guests and historic walls, its story has truly been shaped by the thousands of employees who have welcomed guests and created lasting memories over the past century,” the restaurant’s owners said in a statement.
For those who once worked at the historic restaurant and hotel, join the restaurant’s special alumni Facebook group to be a part of the 100-year celebration. More details on just how the restaurant will celebrate the milestone will be released at a later date.
