Early next month, the pasta-focused restaurant Wildweed in Over-the-Rhine will host the head chef from one of North America’s best restaurants for a one-night-only collaboration dinner.

Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson, the head chef of Published on Main in Vancouver, British Columbia, will cook with David Jackman and the team at Wildweed on Nov. 9. There will be a collaborative tasting menu at the restaurant’s Chef’s Counter alongside several a la carte options.

The collaboration came about because both Jackman and Stieffenhofer-Brandson grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba; both eventually took their culinary talents to the West Coast later in their career, where they often collaborated together.

Published on Main is one of Canada’s most distinguished restaurants, thanks to receiving awards like a Michelin Star, placing No. 1 on “Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants,” and No. 17 on “North America’s 50 Best Restaurants.” Earlier this year, Wildweed won the One to Watch Award from the same publication.
