Graeter's New Scoop Shop to Open in Union

The scoop shop is part of a bigger dining and entertainment hub, which also includes Dewey's Pizza and Braxton Brewing, coming to Union.

Union has a new Graeter’s scoop shop, and its opening marks the beginning of a large local brand collaboration.

Graeter’s is opening at 8905 US-42, where a new Dewey’s Pizza and Braxton Brewing Co. taproom will also soon open. The dining project, a place for “beer lovers, foodies, families and everyone in between,” according to a 2022 press release, will create a new dining and entertainment hub in Northern Kentucky.

The project’s businesses will be centered around a 20,000-square-foot greenspace and beer garden designed to be a family and community-centric space. The companies say in addition to being a foodie destination, they want to have specialty programming, music and events.

“We’re excited about our collaboration in Union. For Graeter’s Ice Cream, the scoop shop experience has always been a special way for people to enjoy our ice cream,” Chip Graeter, Graeter’s chief of retail operations, said in the 2022 release. “Working with two other brands that put the same emphasis on guest experience is a privilege.”

The Union Graeter’s will celebrate its grand opening at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29. Dewey’s and Braxton Brewing haven’t announced their opening days at this time.
