In the small town of Blanchester, there is a family that is doing everything they can to make sure that people have access to farm-fresh food. The Tucker and Davidson families started this project with a health food store and coffee shop called The Greenhouse Bus Mercantile. This store allowed them to spread their ministry while also providing fresh produce to the people who came. This ranged from fresh kombucha to locally raised meat.
In May, the families created Harvester Farm to Table to expand their outreach. The restaurant has a wide variety of food including omelets, smash burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. All of the ingredients used are local, fresh and organic. They also have an option for a “pay it forward” meal. This costs $15 and allows you to place a token in a ceramic hand. Anyone who comes in the restaurant in need of a free meal can take a token and use it to pay for their meal.
