High-End Restaurant Alara to Open in Madisonville's Madison Square

The team behind Tahona Kitchen + Bar, Toast & Berry, S.W. Clyborne Co. and others is opening a new high-end eatery in Madisonville.

Alara, described by Looking Glass Hospitality as "experiential" and "focusing on innovative menu items and warm hospitality," is slated to open at Madison Square — the development near Medpace and The Summit Hotel at the corner of Red Bank Expressway and Madison Road.

“Alara is inspired by the dining experiences we’ve enjoyed on our travels,” says Scott Schmidt, founder of Looking Glass Hospitality, in a release. “As we dined in high-energy environments and enjoyed menu items that were designed for sharing, we were motivated to bring something to Cincinnati that doesn’t currently exist in our restaurant scene."

The 8,000-square-foot space will feature an open kitchen, dining room, bar, patio and conservatory, plus room for private parties. 

Although a menu description isn't available yet, Looking Glass Hospitality says Alara "strips away the traditional formalities of fine dining to create an energetic shared experience that is unlike any other."

Alara will be located at 5410 Medpace Way, Madisonville. The restaurant is slated to open this winter or at the start of 2023. For more info and updates, visit alaracincinnati.com.
