Another Cincinnati eatery has permanently closed. 13th Street Alley, a walk-up window in Over-the-Rhine, recently posted a sign to its window stating the restaurant was closed for business.
“We would like to thank all our customers who supported us since 2018 thank you, and God bless you,” the sign reads.
13th Street Alley, located on 13th Street near Main, was known for its no-frills Philly cheesesteak, of which they offered seven varieties, along with bowls, salads and fresh-cut fries. It’s the second Over-the-Rhine restaurant to announce its closure in August, with Copper & Flame shuttering its doors after Saturday.
Haru, a Korean restaurant in downtown Cincinnati; Keystone Bar & Grill in Covington; and Korean-inspired pub Chimaek were also among the other Greater Cincinnati restaurants to announce closures in August. Keystone’s last day will be Saturday, and Chimaek’s owners say they are working on a new restaurant concept.
13th Street Alley did not state a reason for closing.
