Over-the-Rhine incubator Findlay Kitchen is aimed at helping culinary entrepreneurs as they develop their brands.

And to give the public more access to these food start-ups — especially in the time of COVID — Findlay Kitchen has launched Findlay Kitchen Curated, a monthly artisan food box featuring a rotating selection of goods from members of their kitchen collective.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 29, you can order the boxes at findlaykitchen.org/curated. Each features five to seven specialty food items, available for pick-up at Findlay Kitchen the second Thursday of the month. Findlay Kitchen also places a special emphasis on supporting BIPOC-, women- and immigrant-owned local businesses.

“Findlay Kitchen is home to many passionate chefs, and the pandemic has made it so difficult for entrepreneurs to get a foothold,” says Matt Owens, Findlay Kitchen Incubator Manager. “We want to help give our members a lift financially and a boost in visibility.”

All proceeds go to directly support the participating entrepreneurs.

“We are so excited to be a part of this program,” says Naomi Sams, co-owner of Like Mom’s Only Vegan Bakery and Findlay Kitchen member. “Findlay Kitchen has been incredibly supportive of us and has helped grow our business from concept to a permanent stand at Findlay Market.”

The first $55 Findlay Kitchen Curated box includes:

“This first box really highlights some of the unique, high-quality products our chefs make that you can’t find anywhere else in the city,” says Owens. “We have even more makers ready to go for the box next month that are just as unique and special as the participants this month.”

The deadline to order this box is Oct. 6 and pick-up takes place Oct. 8 at Findlay Kitchen (1719 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine/Findlay Market).
