Organizers behind one of the city’s biggest — and tastiest — food festivals announced this morning (May 8) that the festival, which was rescheduled due to the coronavirus, has been postponed to a further, not-yet-determined date.
The 42nd-annual Taste of Cincinnati was originally scheduled for May 23-25 and was rescheduled for July 3-5. According to a release, the fest will be postponed again for a later date.
“As we continue to monitor the Governor’s timeline and work closely with health and safety experts, it is in the best interest of our guests, partners and team members to shift focus to a later date for Taste of Cincinnati. We hope to be able to announce a new date as soon as possible. Thanks to all for your continued support,” said Cynthia Oxley, director of the event in the release.
In the meantime, the event is hosting a weekly series called Social Saturdays with Taste of Cincinnati, where they feature cooking and cocktail demonstrations with celebrity appearance and other entertainment, in addition to encouraging support of your local restaurants and bars through ordering carry-out or delivery. This week’s theme, “Mum, Yum, and Dim Sum,” melds together Mother’s Day and Asian cuisine. “Social Saturdays are a fun, delicious way to gather online and through social media to enjoy a Taste of Cincinnati,” the press release reads.
A new date for the postponed date has not yet been released, but check tasteofcincinnati.com for updates.
