Cincinnati Hip Hop artist AP Counterfeit is currently in the midst of a coast-to-coast tour with Chicago-bred/Minneapolis-based MC Longshot, who records for the esteemed Doomtree Records. The pair’s “Against All Odds” tour winds through Cincinnati this weekend with a show at Top Cats (2820 Vine St., Corryville, topcatscincy.com) on Saturday, May 11.
AP Counterfeit is one-third of the Cincinnati trio Counterfeit Money Machine. He’s touring in support of his solo EP, Lassie, which is described as “a post-apocalyptic progressive Hip Hop snack” and is available on most major streaming platforms via the local imprint Grasshopper Juice Records.
The Top Cats show features an impressive supporting cast that includes a set from Counterfeit Money Machine, plus local favorites like Triiibe, WeirDose (with CMM’s soundscaping genius Juan Cosby) and Haskell.
