The Steve Schmidt Christmas Schmidtacular is taking over The Comet (4579 Hamilton Ave., Northside, cometbar.com) again this year for another three nights of holiday-themed Jazz music.

Local Jazz pianist/organist Steve Schmidt will again lead his Organ Trio — with guitarist Brad Myers and drummer Marc Wolfley — on Dec. 18, 19 and 20. Music begins at 8:30 p.m. each night.

According to Schmidt's Facebook page, singer Mandy Gaines is slated to join the festivities on the first two nights of the residency and vocalist Eugene Goss will sit in on Dec. 20.

This is the 20th year that the Christmas Schmidtacular has been hosted at The Comet.
