With not much hope left for the Bengals’ season, many Cincinnati sports fans are now looking forward to the start of Reds’ baseball season. And now there’s even more reason to be excited as the Reds announce who will be playing the post-game concerts at Great American Ball Park.
Next summer, country band Old Dominion, tropical rock band The Landsharks and pop-rock band Train will take the field at the ball park following select games. The concerts are free with the cost of your game ticket and typically start about 20 minutes after the game ends.
Old Dominion will perform Thursday, July 10 after the Reds face off against the Miami Marlins, starting at 5:10 p.m. Called “one of mainstream country music’s most popular live groups,” by Rolling Stone, this group has garnered nine No. 1 singles on country radio, over 5 billion on-demand streams and more than dozen RIAA Platinum and Gold single certifications since breaking onto the scene. They’ve also headlined arenas and amphitheaters around the world and recently debuted a greatest-hits compilation called Odies But Goodies. The Landsharks will perform at GABP on Saturday, July 26 following the Reds vs. the Tampa Bay Rays game, which starts at 6:40 p.m. The Landsharks are best known for their work with Jimmy Buffett, touring with him and working as the house band at Margaritaville. They’ve toured around the world, opening for bands like The Beach Boys and have even played at the Super Bowl. If you’ve never seen The Landsharks perform, prepare for a fun and interactive time. Finally, Train will perform at GABP on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the end of the Reds’ game against the Philadelphia Phillies, which starts at 5:10 p.m. The band are multi-Grammy Award winners who have had 14 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and 13 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. Their biggest hits include “Meet Virginia;” “Hey, Soul Sister;” and “Drops of Jupiter,” among many more. They’ve also sold more than 10 million albums and 30 million tracks worldwide, with multiple platinum and gold certifications.
