Dead & Company is a touring force, but this year the band is only doing 17 headlining shows.
If you’re a Grateful Dead fan in Cincinnati, you’re in luck, because you won’t have to travel far to catch them. The group — featuring Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer and Bob Weir, with Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti — will be playing at Riverbend Music Center.
Tickets for Dead & Company’s July 20 concert go on sale Friday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. via ticketmaster.com.
Other dates on the ensemble’s 2020 tour include two-night stands at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park.
With this show, Bob Weir will have done a show in Cincinnati every year since 2016.
In January of 2017, Weir played Cincinnati’s MusicNOW, the unique and ongoing “New Music” festival founded by Bryce Dessner of The National. He performed at the Aronoff Center with Campfire Boys, which featured Aaron Dessner, Scott Devendorf and Bryan Devendorf of The National (the Dessners and Scott Devendorf were also featured on Weir’s 2016 solo album, Blue Mountain).
In the summers of 2016 and 2018, Dead & Company also played at Riverbend.
Last year, the Grateful Dead legend did a show at the Taft Theatre with his Wolf Bros band project.
