Justin Vernon’s Grammy-winning Indie Folk band Bon Iver is coming to Cincinnati in just over two months. Taft Theatre announced today (Jan. 27) that the group will play the venue on March 31.
Tickets ($89, $59 and $49) go on sale this Friday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Taft box office, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online via ticketmaster.com.
Bon Iver’s debut album, For Emma, Forever Ago, was hugely acclaimed upon its release in 2008. It was followed by Blood Bank, a beloved EP that has already led to some think-pieces in honor of its 10th anniversary.
Bon Iver’s profile was raised massively in 2012 when it was nominated for — and won — the New Artist Grammy, as well as the Alternative Music Album Grammy for its self-titled LP. The band was also nominated in the Alternative Music Album category at the 2017 Grammys for its unique and compelling 22, A Million.
UPDATE: In just over two hours after tickets went on sale, Taft Theatre says Bon Iver’s March 31 concert at the venue is SOLD OUT.
