The popular Northside Record Fair returns this Saturday (Nov. 2) to Northside’s NorthChurch (4222 Hamilton Ave.), once again featuring an array of unique vinyl, cassettes and CDs, as well as music posters, T-shirts and more.
“This ain’t no Beatles and Elvis fair,” a press release for the event states.
NRF’s website says the fair was created “to bring together record collector dorks from all over the midwest to buy, sell, trade, and generally nerd out over records, cd’s, cassettes, and all sorts of music related media and memorabilia.”
Sponsored by local shops Shake It and Torn Light, as well as databse/dealer website Discogs, the Northside Record Fair boasts more than 40 tables’ worth of offerings, helmed by sellers/vendors from all over the United States. Organizers say the fair will have music from a wide array of specialty genres — from Psych to Punk, Hip Hop to Prog, Industrial to Soul… and beyond. DJs will spin tunes throughout the day.
Eager shoppers can get an early start at 10 a.m.; early-bird entry is $10. From 11 a.m.-4 p.m., admission is just $5.
