March has everything that Cincinnati music is known for to bring you out into the warmer air this month — nights filled with local artists creating music across every genre with a style all their own. This month features a benefit concert, a Women’s Day celebration and local musicians playing with acts on tour from New York, Paris, Nashville and everywhere in between. These are just a few of the shows happening around town this month.

Rockin Revival for a Cure at Southgate House Revival This yearly benefit concert is put on by brothers Adam and Matthew Forsthoefel of rock band The Grove to raise money for research into a type of brain cancer, glioblastoma, that they lost their father John Forsthoefel to in 2017. This is the ninth year of the successful fundraiser. This year features the Ben Levin Trio (pictured), Heavy Hinges, Aaron Magical, Gremlin, Matt St. George, Intro Signal and more, in addition to The Grove throughout the day at the Southgate House Revival. 1:30 p.m. March 8. $25 in advance and $30 day-of. City Queen Sounds featuring Annie D, Jess Lamb, Siri Imani and more at Radio Artifact Local female artist collective City Queen Sounds celebrates Women’s Day with a gathering of some of the city’s biggest female acts, including singer-songwriter Anna Applegate, harpist Victoria Lekson, vocalist Aunty Jojo and electronica musician Abby Vice in addition to hip-hop lyricist and local activist Siri Imani, inventive singer-songwriter Annie D and soulful singer-songwriter and educator Jess Lamb (pictured). 8 p.m. March 8. concert:nova super nova gala at Union Hall Innovative chamber orchestra and music organization concert:nova has put together another unique night built around classical music featuring performances of Grieg’s Holberg Suite and Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante, along with a silent auction for curated local experiences and items from Cincinnati makers, boutiques and businesses.
