The Andrew J Brady ICON Music Center at The Banks is the new music venue on Cincinnati's riverfront from Music & Event Management, Inc. (MEMI) — and it's ready for its close-up.

MEMI is inviting the public into its state-of-the-art venue for an open house 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 25.

The event is free and will let guests peek around the 4,500-capacity interior, which boasts a main floor and two balconies. There is also an 8,000-person outdoor ICON Festival Stage at Smale Park, which legendary Rock group Foo Fighters will inaugurate on July 28.

The open house will, of course, include live music from local acts with the following slated performances:

  • 10:30 a.m. and throughout the day — DJ Mowgli
  • 11 a.m.-11:35 a.m. — KNOTTS
  • 11:55 a.m.-12:30 p.m. — Tracy Walker
  • 12:50 p.m.–1:25 p.m. — MADQUEEN
  • 1:45 p.m.-2:20 p.m. — Carriers

Concessions will offer everything from Skyline coneys and Papa John's pizza to beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Photo ops and face painting will be available.

MEMI will also be accepting applications for staff positions.

The box office will be open from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. offering zero-service-fee tickets if you pay cash for any of the ICON's upcoming shows.

The Andrew J Brady ICON Music Center is named after a 1938 University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music graduate, Andrew J. Brady. Brady went on to become the music director at Western Hills High School and a Jazz musician who worked with various youth programs over the years.
