PromoWest Productions just announced the cancellation of the 2020 Bunbury Music Festival because of COVID-19. The fest was slated to take place June 5-7 on Cincinnati’s riverfront at Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove with headliners EDM artist Marshmello, Americana faves The Avett Brothers and Twenty One Pilots.
It would have been the ninth annual Bunbury.
In a statement, the production company said, “Because of the current government mandates and the ever changing situation in Ohio, we feel that it would not be safe or sensible to host our annual event. The health and safety of our guests, staff, artists, vendors and partners is our main concern and not something we take lightly.”
The company said they are moving ahead and planning for Bunbury 2021.
Refunds will be automatically issued within the next 30 to 45 days and they say they are still working through refund options for those ticketholders that purchased their tickets at the lineup announcement party.
