Six students at Woodward Career Technical High School yesterday ingested marijuana-laced brownies, Cincinnati Public Schools says, and four had to go to the hospital. Now, the 15-year-old student who brought the brownies faces five counts of felonious assault over the incident.
The student who brought the edibles is currently in juvenile detention. It is believed he sold some of his fellow students the brownies and gave others away. Authorities are working to figure out whether all the students who ate the brownies knew they contained marijuana. If they did, they could face expulsion.
Five of the six students got sick from the brownies, experiencing nausea and vomiting. Four were hospitalized. One remained in the hospital today.
