Be both stylishly early and fashionably late. This evening is the last opportunity for an early Thursday dinner in the Cincinnati Art Museum’s Terrace Café and after-hours viewing of the special exhibitions Henry Ossawa Tanner: Modern Spirit and The Art of Sound: Four Centuries of Musical Instruments. The café, usually closed after 3 p.m., has offered a special menu with wine 4-6 p.m. Thursdays in August, and the museum, typically locked after 5 p.m., has stayed open an extra hour. After 6 p.m., continue to celebrate the art of sound with a stroll down to Seasongood Pavilion and the free It’s Commonly Jazz concert series. The Mike Wade Septet featuring Steve Wilson plays 6-8 p.m. Then the rest of the still-young night is up to you. Thursday, Aug. 30. Free. Parking $4 nonmembers. Cincinnati Art Museum. 953 Eden Park Drive, Mount Adams. 513-639-2986, cincinnatiartmuseum.org.
