Julian Stanczak, a former Art Academy of Cincinnati instructor whose precisely geometric and brilliantly colorful abstract work has been hailed as the ideal for Op Art, will show a portfolio of color inkjet prints from 1993 at the Cincinnati Art Museum’s Gallery 212. Called color color, it is small in scale but enormous in pleasure and beauty. Adding to the amazement of his accomplishment is the fact that these were printed on a computer — early for the time — and the value gradients and color juxtapositions were controlled with such accuracy and assuredness.
