Beginning with a 7 p.m. reception Saturday, U-turn Art Space features One Solid Mutiny, a solo exhibition of recent sculptures, installations and works by Zach Rawe, an Art Academy of Cincinnati graduate. As part of the show conceived for the space, a “battlefield” demarcated by duct tape will run the length of the gallery, with objects representing American excess on one side and sculptures using industrial, raw materials meant to provoke a calmer, more neutralized viewing experience on the other.
Accompanying the project is a multimedia media project about its creation by CityBeat photographer Cameron Knight that will launch May 5 at citybeat.com.
Through May 29. Gallery hours are noon-4 p.m. Saturdays or by appointment.
