Venues across Greater Cincinnati
are continuing to require that patrons provide proof of COVID vaccination or a negative COVID test before attending events ranging from concerts to plays — typically anything indoors with a crowd.

This includes the Aronoff Center for the Arts and Music Hall, both of which mandate COVID vaccination or a negative COVID status and a mask for entry.

To help streamline this process, the Cincinnati Arts Association — the venues' parent organization — has adopted a free app called Bindle. Now, guests attending events at Music Hall and the Aronoff Center can upload their vaccine card or negative COVID results, plus an ID, to get a special pass. "Guests then will only need to show their entry pass at the venue, eliminating the need to carry paper verification and identification," says the Cincinnati Arts Association in a release.

“We are pleased to offer this new health verification app at the Aronoff Center and Music Hall — at no cost to our ticket holders,” said Todd Duesing, Cincinnati Arts Association Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, in a release. “It is our hope that our guests will use this secure and efficient tool to simplify and expedite their entry into our venues. We are thrilled to raise the curtain again on an exceptional season at the Aronoff and Music Hall, and we are committed to providing a safe environment for our audiences to enjoy our events.”

Guests don't HAVE to use the Bindle app — they can continue to provide their own paper results and ID. But the Cincinnati Arts Association does note that "Bindle does not require biometrics and no personal health information is shared with Bindle or the venue. Guests can safely store COVID-19 test results and vaccine records using Bindle's military-grade encryption, keeping personal identity and health information strictly private."

Wicked is currently onstage at the Aronoff, and David Sedaris will be at Music Hall on Nov. 30.
