Previously, early June meant possible concern that the recent Cincy Fringe Festival might overshadow (if not overlap, as in the past) Contemporary Dance Theater’s always-anticipated annual “Choreographers Without Companies,” a selective showcase of top new dance works. But this year the program features busy artists who also performed in popular Fringe shows: Karen Wissel from The Edge playing another dramatic role of a daughter relating to a mother in a new Ka-Ron Brown Lehman piece, and Holly Price, seen in Travel, who’s collaborating here with Rebecca Bedel.
Other choreographers on the bill include some familiar names: Diane Germaine, Rachel James, Jeri Deckard Gatch, as well as longtime classical Indian dancer Padma Chebrolu who will perform Passage to India.
8:30 p.m. Friday at the Aronoff Center’s Jarson-Kalpan Theater downtown. $17-$27.
