Chili is Cincinnati’s signature food, even for vegans, and Park + Vine’s annual chili cook-off has something for all chili heads. Though the opportunity to enter your own four quarts of home-cooked vegan chili into the competition has passed, you can still participate in the event by purchasing a tasting ticket. Judge amongst yourselves for People’s Choice while the all-star judging panel of Colonel De Stewart, Bhumin Desai (chef de cuisine at Jean-Robert’s Table), food writer Grace Yek and Jake Gerth (co-owner of frameshop) award first, second and third place to the most deserving concoctions. Beer is available for purchase, with a portion of proceeds benefitting Gabriel’s Place.
