I don’t really know what the connection is between the Christmas season and trains but for some reason there are a bunch of involved and snowy train displays all over the place in December. EnterTRAINment Junction, which is a train-themed entertainment center, is no exception to this phenomenon. They have an elaborate Christmas display inside their 80,000-square-foot indoor wonderland. Step back in time into a 1930’s-era Main Street cityscape with lights, Christmas trees, wreaths, gift packages, colorful bunting and more. There’s also a 5,000-square-foot area decorated with Christmas trees, hanging ornaments, snow mounds and pathways with three unique train layouts. But the real attractions are A Christmas Carol interactive village and Journey to the North Pole. In the A Christmas Carol village you’ll walk right into the classic holiday tale. Visit Scrooge’s house. See Tiny Tim. Meet other memorable characters dressed up in period costume. In Journey To The North Pole, walk through snowy landscapes, frosted ice caves and an Evergreen forest full of animated animals on your way to see the North Pole and Santa’s Village. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday; noon-6 p.m. Sunday. Through Jan. 4. $9. Get details and find nearby bars and restaurants here.
